I thought

that you were giving me
a chance

my opportunity,
it was
the best feeling
in the world
I felt as if
I'd literally
exploded
with happiness
though
I was confused
for a number of reasons
Yet
I knew
it wasn't true
however,
my heart
ached
or longed
with either the feeling
of finally being happy
or just
more of
the pain
